When asked by the BBC to help them envision what the radio of the future might look like, we happily put ourselves forward for the challenge.
We set out to demonstrate how a combination of intelligent software and product design - when approached in an integrated way from the outset - could be applied to engender a deeper relationship between BBC Radio and its listeners. So the resulting design focuses on how best to maximise audience interaction with BBC Radio via software - our vision of where we felt the business of delivering Radio will go.
Therefore the device features a number of input methods designed to maximise interaction, including a touch-screen and stylus, alongside a haptic dial to preserve familiarity with the action of interacting with the old-world radio tuners.
