Ice Station Antarctica

May 1, 2007

A series of interactive exhibits for a major new exhibition at the Natural History Museum - Ice Station Antarctica.

Our Under Sea Ice exhibit takes the form of an interactive table-top, presenting kids with a fully 3D multiplayer diving game that encourages exploration by asking players to find and photograph undersea plant and wildlife. The sense of emersion is further enhanced via the use of gestural motion to control the on screen divers and mimick the behaviour and characteristics of swimming.

Our Skidoo exhibit offers an arcade-like driving experience sending players on a quest to retrieve fallen meteorite samples from the Antarctic snow. Both exhibits integrate with barcode scanner technologies which ask kids to scan their entry tickets before play in return for added information and giveaways online at the supporting website.
