An elegant, multi-lingual website commissioned to establish Porto Montenegro as a leading luxury destination.
Born out of the vision of its chief investor, Canadian business- man Peter Munk, Porto Montenegro is a luxury superyacht marina and Adriatic village built on a former Austro-Hungarian naval base on the coastal town of Tivat.
Located in the beautiful Bay of Kotor, in the deepest natural harbour of southern Europe, this area is known, amongst the more discerning yachtsman and luxury traveler, to be one of the most idyllic nautical playgrounds with the added bonus of its palm-lined shores and lush mountainous backdrop.
Despite its un-spoilt natural beauty, Porto Montenegro is just 2-3 hours away from most European cities and our brief was to not only put Montenegro on the map but help re-establish Montenegro as a high-end destination (like its former glory days in the 50s and 60s).
Porto Montenegro's development on the Bay of Kotor will include about a thousand residences, two or three luxury hotels, a casino, spa, golf course and nearby mountain retreat. The design, layout and architecture will reflect the existing vernacular of the area and the development.
We used the new identity (developed by Totality UK) to reflect the classic authentic luxury style whilst functionally ensuring that potential purchasers - including crew, skippers/captains, yacht owners and the general public can quickly access all the essential information and in any of the 6 languages available on the site.
The site was built with rich HTML and the AJAX based image gallery and interactive map enables Flash-style transitions without compromising on SEO. A mini-CMS was also provided, which again allows the client to quickly and easily update the site internally.
